Patung Dewi Danu yang dibangun di hulu Danau Batur, Desa Songan, Kecamatan Kintamani, Bangli, ditetapkan sebagai Patung Dewi Danu terbesar dan tertinggi di Indonesia oleh Museum Rekor-Dunia Indonesia (MURI). BANGLI, NusaBali Penyerahan rekor MURI bersamaan dengan peresmian Patung Dewi Danu bertempat di jaba tengah Pura Ulundanu Batur pada Redite Kliwon Medangkungan, Minggu (31/12). Peresmian patung dihadiri Bupati Bangli I Made Gianyar, sejumlah pejabat perwakilan dari beberapa kementerian serta raja-raja se-nusantara. Proses pembangunan patung Dewi Danu membutuhkan waktu satu tahun dua bulan tiga hari dengan melibatkan sejumlah pematung yang diketuai I Gede Wibawa bersama krama Desa Songan serta dukungan Senator DPD RI, Dr Shri I Gusti Ngurah Arya Wedakarna Mahendradatta Wedastraputra Suyasa III (AWK). Saat peresmian patung Dewi Danu, AWK menjelaskan pembuatan patung merupakan cita-cita warga Songan. Pada tahun 2016, rencana tersebut mulai digarap tepat pada 17 Agustus dengan peletakan batu pertama. Patung Dewi Danu atau Dewi Kemakmuran yang berdiri di atas batu padas bentukan alam sebagai ikon Danau Batur diyakini akan memberikan kemakmuran bagi masyarakat. Awal pembangunan patung Dewi Danu, pematung Gede Wibawa mendapat pawisik dan mimpi agar dibuatkan kendaraan berupa naga dan ikan mujair yang menjadi ciri khas Danau Batur. Setelah pembangunan berjalan, kembali ada pawisik agar dibangun lima patung sebagai dayang. “Mendapat pawisik seperti itu, Gede Wibawa langsung menambah pembangunan patung. Syukur pengerjaan selama ini berjalan lancar,” ungkap AWK. Adapun patung yang menghiasi yakni patung ksatria raja, patung dayang-dayang, dan patung dayang-dayang membawa kendi. AWK berharap, ke depan Patung Dewi Danu menjadi tujuan wisata spiritual dan bisa meningkatkan perekonomian warga sekitar. Untuk sampai ke Patung Dewi Danu, pengunjung harus menyeberangi danau dengan perahu.
