What is there to do in Keramas Beach?

Keramas Beach is beloved among the international surfing community for its waves. But even those who cannot surf can still enjoy this amazing beach. Here are some things you can do in Keramas.

  • Surfing at Keramas Beach

Although Keramas is a recent addition to Bali’s World Class Waves, it is no less awesome than other well-known surfing spots in the Island of Gods. Keramas is certainly blessed by challenging but amazing waves. In fact, it has one of the best high-performance waves around the globe. It is so good for surfing that every May the World Surf League has a World Championship Event here.

The best time for surfing is during the wet season from November to March, when the winds are good. However, you can go between April-May and September-October as well, when the weather will be better in the morning.

Another great thing about surfing at Keramas is that you can surf at night. Usually, it is between June to October, 4 days before and after a full moon. Do not worry about safety because Komune Beach Resort provides lifeguards and safety lights.

  • Sports activities

If you cannot swim but are eager to keep in shape during the holidays, you can do it in Keramas. In the morning and the evening, when the sun is not too hot, many people use this long stretch of beach for jogging. There are also beach volleyball games. Alternatively, you might want to rent some fishing gear and fish.

  • Winding down and watching the sunrise

Too lazy to do any sports? Do not worry. You can just chill and relax in Keramas Beach. The volcanic black sand is a unique alternative to the usual pristine white sands you can find in most parts of Bali, so bask your eyes in the scenery! Take a stroll along the coastline, laze around under the soothing shadows of the palm trees, or watch the sunset with your loved ones.

  • Swimming with dolphins at Wake Dolphin

At Keramas Beach there is Wake Bali Dolphin, where you can swim with the dolphins. It is safe even for children, so it is suitable if you travel with your family. You can use this opportunity to teach your kids about these beautiful and intelligent sea mammals. It is open in the morning until the afternoon, so after swimming with dolphins you can relax and wait for the sunset.

  • Beach-hopping around the area

Keramas beach is not the only one of its kind in Keramas Village. There are other beaches nearby, such as Betuas Beach, Selukat Beach, Sesa Beach, Saba Beach, and Masceti Beach. If you stay in the area, you can even go to different beaches every day!

Have you ever ride a horse on by the seaside? Go to Saba Beach, a neighboring beach just the west of Keramas, to try this unique experience! Even if you have no prior horseriding experience, the guide will assist you in riding the horse along the coastline. Enjoy the scenery along the ride!
